Ballet builds the foundation for many other styles of dance. In this class, dancers learn proper body alignment, posture, and classical ballet technique and terminology in a supportive, encouraging environment. Ballet helps improve balance, strength, flexibility, and coordination—skills that carry over into jazz, contemporary, acro, and more. Dancers will practice graceful movements, turns, and jumps as they float across the room and grow in confidence and control. Our most popular class at our studio!
Tutus and Tumbling is the perfect introduction to dance for young movers! Dancers are introduced to basic ballet skills that help build coordination, balance, and confidence as they grow. From twirls and arabesques to playful movement across the floor, dancers learn through imagination and creativity. Halfway through class, we transition to safe, age-appropriate tumbling to get their wiggles out—working on skills like somersaults, bridges, and handstands in a fun, encouraging environment.
Tippy Toe Ballet is a joyful first dance experience for our youngest dancers. This class introduces basic ballet movements, rhythm, balance, and gentle stretching through music, imagination, and play. Dancers build coordination, confidence, and a love for dance in a fun, nurturing class designed just for little ones.
Tap & Tumbling introduces young dancers to the exciting and fun world of tap! Dancers learn how to create rhythm and sounds with their feet, helping them understand music and timing in a playful, engaging way. Making noise is part of the fun in this energetic style! Halfway through class, dancers transition to safe, age-appropriate tumbling to get their wiggles out—working on skills like somersaults, bridges, and handstands.
Hip Hop is a high-energy and expressive style that encourages dancers to move with confidence, creativity, and personality. In this class, dancers develop musicality, strength, and coordination while learning foundational hip hop grooves, freestyle skills, and dynamic choreography. Movement is inspired by rhythm and self-expression, allowing dancers to explore character, emotions, and individuality in a positive, age-appropriate environment. Dancers will also be introduced to classic hip hop techniques such as krumping, waving, and breakdance basics, empowering them to move with purpose and style.
Tap dancing is a rhythmic style of dance where the dancer’s feet become an instrument, creating sound through precise steps and patterns. It blends musicality, coordination, and timing, encouraging dancers to listen as closely as they move. Through tap, dancers develop strong rhythm, confidence, and a joyful connection to music and movement.
Acro blends the strength and flexibility of tumbling with the grace and control of dance—think Cirque du Soleil style movement meets age-appropriate acrobatic skills. In this class, dancers safely build core strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility while learning progressive acro skills. Beginning levels focus on foundational skills such as bridges, handstands, backbends, and cartwheels. As dancers advance, they work toward more challenging skills like aerials and rolling chin stands. Acro is a high-energy, goal-driven class that keeps dancers engaged, motivated, and excited as they master new skills guided and spotted by their instructors. This class is a technique only class which means there is no recital dance. These skills are integrated into their other class recital dances.
Pre-Pointe prepares dancers for the exciting step into pointe work by building the strength, technique, and alignment needed to dance safely on pointe. This class focuses on core strength, foot and ankle stability, turnout, balance, and proper placement, all while reinforcing classical ballet fundamentals. Pre-Pointe ensures that dancers are confident, strong, and ready to transition successfully to pointe safely.
You must take pre pointe class before an instructor approves you to go to pointe, and you must be in ballet level 4 to join pre pointe.
Pointe is the next step for advanced ballet dancers after they have passed pre pointe, focusing on strength, technique, and artistry while dancing on pointe shoes. This class emphasizes proper alignment, balance, foot and ankle strength, and control to safely execute pointe work. Dancers refine turns, jumps, and combinations while developing elegance, precision, and confidence in their movements en pointe. Pointe builds both technical skill and expressive artistry in their ballet technique. Dancers must also be enrolled in ballet level 5, 6, or 7.
Jazz is an upbeat, high-energy style of dance that combines sharp technique with fun, expressive movement. Dancers will learn leaps, jumps, turns, kicks, and dynamic choreography while building strength, flexibility, and coordination. Jazz challenges dancers with exciting tricks and technique, helping them grow in confidence and performance quality. Because jazz relies on strong fundamentals, this class pairs well with ballet, which helps support proper technique and control.
Contemporary blends elements of ballet, jazz, and modern dance to create expressive, graceful, emotional movement. In this class, dancers explore fluid transitions, floor work, and dynamic choreography while building strength, flexibility, control, and musicality. Contemporary encourages dancers to connect movement with emotion and storytelling, helping them grow in artistry and confidence. This style focuses on technique as well as self-expression, allowing dancers to move with intention, creativity, and authenticity.
Adult Beginning Ballet is a welcoming class designed for adults who want to explore the beauty and discipline of ballet, no experience required! Dancers learn proper body alignment, posture, and foundational ballet technique at a comfortable pace, building strength, flexibility, and balance. This class focuses on graceful movements, basic turns, and gentle jumps, helping you improve coordination, musicality, and overall fitness—all in a supportive, fun, and encouraging community!
